The Tidekeeper

The Tidekeeper Pendant feels like a small fragment of shoreline entrusted with a secret. Its rectangular form gives structure to something inherently fluid - blue mother of pearl holding shifting currents of silver, sea-glass blue, and softened light beneath its surface. Nothing about it remains entirely fixed; the stone changes with every movement, revealing new depths and colours as though it were keeping fragments of different tides within it. There is a quiet restraint to its beauty, the kind found in objects that reveal themselves gradually rather than all at once.

Its atmosphere recalls the poetry of Mahmoud Darwish, who wrote, “And the sea is behind me, and the sea is before me.” In his work, the sea often becomes a symbol of longing, return, and the things that remain with us no matter how far we travel.
